Hello ! my name is Hendrik, welcome to my travel site !
How I started
Welcome on Hendrik Buesink’s travel blog. You may find some nice deals around here very soon. I have always loved to travel. I started to work just after my studies in 1987 at the age of 20 but found myself a bit too young to launch my career that early. Therefore and to be sure I wouldn’t miss something important in my life, I quit my job and went travelling around the world for one year in 1990. But once you’ve started it’s hard to stop so in 1994 I took my backpack and went travelling again for a couple of months in South America.
After those rewarding experiences I went back to a normal life, made a career in the finance and founded a family.
However, my addiction to travelling was never very far away…
And now I am doing it again with this insane happiness that accompanies me anytime, anywhere…
The goal here is to share experiences, offer nice opportunities for holidays as well as tips & tricks for adventurous travels.
Enjoy !

My Top 5 Sites to Visit
1. Luang Prabang, Laos
World heritage-listed Luang Prabang may be the best-preserved city in Southeast Asia
2. Koh Phayam, Thailand
Koh Phayam is the second largest Andaman Sea island off the coast of Ranong Province. This beautiful island has no roads suitable for cars.
3. Koh Tao, Thailand
Koh Tao is the scuba diving destination of choice in Thailand. The perfect white-sand beaches which ring the hilly 21 km² island are surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand. The vibrant coral reefs there are home to a wide range of exciting and colourful sea creatures.
